How to Track a Satellite Dish Network Antenna and Frequencies

To stay updated and informed Please kindly assist in sharing our post

A satellite dish is a dish-shaped type of parabolic antenna designed to receive microwaves from communications satellites, which transmit data transmissions or broadcasts, such as satellite television.

How to track

Schematics of reflection principles used in parabolic antennas.

The parabolic shape of a dish reflects the signal to the dish’s focal point. Mounted on brackets at the dish’s focal point is a device called a feedhorn.

This feedhorn is essentially the front-end of a waveguide that gathers the signals at or near the focal point and ‘conducts’ them to a low-noise block downconverter or LNB. The LNB converts the signals from electromagnetic or radio waves to electrical signals and shifts the signals from the downlinked C-band and/or Ku-band to the L-band range.

Direct broadcast satellite dishes use an LNBF, which integrates the feedhorn with the LNB. (A new form of an omnidirectional satellite antenna, which does not use a directed parabolic dish and can be used on a mobile platform such as a vehicle was announced by the University of Waterloo in 2004.[1]

The theoretical gain (directive gain) of a dish increases as the frequency increases. The actual gain depends on many factors including surface finish, the accuracy of shape, feedhorn matching. A typical value for a consumer type 60 cm satellite dish at 11.75 GHz is 37.50 dB.

With lower frequencies, C-band for example, dish designers have a wider choice of materials. The large size of dish required for lower frequencies led to the dishes being constructed from metal mesh on a metal framework. At higher frequencies, mesh type designs are rarer though some designs have used a solid dish with perforations.

To stay updated and informed Please kindly assist in sharing our post

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called on prospective candidates to disregard advertisements in the social media, announcing sales of registration documents with some illegal centres and subject combinations.

The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, gave the warning in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Lagos.

He said: “It has come to the notice of the board that some fraudsters have listed out centres for the examination and in the process, inserted some illegal ones.

“Let me state here that all the processes concerning the board can only be done by approved Computer Based Centres (CBT).”

According to Benjamin, over 700 centres have so far been accredited for the conduct of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled to commence on March 16.

He said JAMB would soon publish the list of all approved centres in all its state offices nationwide to guide prospective candidates in choosing centres nearest to them.

He announced that the sales of registration documents for the examination would commence on Jan. 10.

“Already the list of over 700 accredited centres for this examination has been uploaded on our website.

“But we have not published any advert concerning all the processes, we are hoping to do so soon.

“Precisely before the commencement of the sales of the forms just as we will paste the list of all the accredited CBT centres at all our state offices nationwide.

“This is to guide the candidates towards the examination processes in order not to fall prey to these fraudsters who are bent on finding ways of causing pains to innocent Nigerians,” Benjamin said.

He added that candidates can also go to the “playstore app” on their mobile phones and download “jambibass” to get authentic information especially as regards subject and course combinations among others.

Why You Should Completely Stop Using GB Whatsapp

To stay updated and informed Please kindly assist in sharing our post

GB WhatsApp a popular modified version of WhatsApp that many people tend to use these days because it offers more features than the Official WhatsApp application.

You may be wondering why you should stop using GB Whatsapp in 2019 , well I’ll be explaining that in this post.

Let’s assume that close to where you live there are hungry wolves in the forest. Not that you’ve personally seen them when you’ve gone into the woods, but you’ve constantly heard them howl at night, and also heard stories of people being killed by them. There are safe paths, with some guards, that go through the woods.

The wolves rarely go through these paths, then there are those that are less sure and may have a lot of wolves. Which do you choose?

GBWhatsApp is not “safer” than the official product and that means there is risk. What type of risk?

There is no Privacy for one and as such you won’t find GB Whatsapp in the Google Play Store because it didn’t pass the security tests and also because it’s a clone app. I know we all love customization but how would you feel if you wake up one day and see that all your conversations have been posted somewhere online?

Also, if you use any other app for using Whatsapp other than the official app, there is a high chance that your security will be compromised. Whatsapp uses end to end encryption, i.e the sender and receiver can only read the messages because only they have the key. There have been unverified reports about the developers of the app adding malicious codes to the app and also there’s a high chance they’re gathering your data without you even knowing.

ASUU Strike: We Will Distrupt 2019 Elections, NANS President Promise

To stay updated and informed Please kindly assist in sharing our post

The President, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Comrade Danielson Akpan, has warned that if the face-off between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, was not resolved and the ongoing strike called off, on 7th January 2019, the students body would mobilise students across the country to halt commercial activities and the February general elections.

Akpan who spoke to Vanguard described ASUU as a selfish and hypocritical union, adding that while it agitates openly for funds for infrastructure development in Nigerian universities, their primary motive for the industrial action is the payment of their earned allowances.

He argued that on several occasions when the Federal Government permitted the students’ union to attend the negotiation meetings it had with ASUU, the leadership of ASUU rejected.

According to him, if there was nothing ASUU was hiding from the students’ union, why would it on two occasions reject their representatives? Not even the journalists had ASUU at any time allowed in their meeting.

“ASUU said they are fighting for the students and at the same time denied students’ union representatives access to the negotiation meeting to contribute to the discussion or even act as observers.

“It is only in Nigeria that you have education sector sold into strike as it were, without recourse to the students; without giving a thought to the challenges it brings to the sector. Our people fail to understand that incessant strike reduces the quality of education.

“How do you expect a student that has been at home for two months to be able to cope with academics? People study, knowing that there are lectures, assignments and may be in preparation for examinations.”

To the government, Akpan said: “The government cannot constantly reach agreement and floor the agreement, it is unacceptable.
